StoryLTD launched its auction platform in April 2014. It featured a new format of online auctions exclusively dedicated to lots without a reserve price. Our no-reserve auctions eliminate the mandatory minimum price for works to sell at auction. This format has proven to be popular with many buyers bidding on and acquiring great works of art at attractive prices.

StoryLTD’s first no-reserve auction featured Modern and Contemporary Indian art by leading names, and witnessed a white-glove sale. Ever since, we have held art auctions regularly which feature a range of oil, watercolour, ink, pencil, pastel, and acrylic works by stalwarts such as Anjolie Ela Menon, S H Raza, M F Husain, F N Souza, Ganesh Pyne, Jogen Chowdhury, Thota Vaikuntam, Manisha Parekh, Jitish Kallat, G R Iranna, Dhananjay Singh, Sudhanshu Sutar, Nataraj Sharma, Anju Dodiya, among many others.

We have also expanded into other categories and frequently hold auctions of Folk and Tribal art, Bollywood Film Memorabilia, Sports Memorabilia, and Interiors and Collectibles. In July 2015, we launched Weekly Auctions in these categories, and will be adding others, such as rare books, photographs, and maps to the existing roster. Each category underscores the wide-ranging tastes and interests of our buyers, while representing the dynamic and ever-expanding definition of Indian art and culture.

StoryLTD believes in transparency and empowering bidders to make an informed decision before placing bids. To aid buyers, we publish detailed condition reports alongside each lot, and comparables on price points of similar works sold previously. Our estimates are arrived at after carefully researching market prices and evaluating the lot based on various parameters.

Stay up to date on upcoming auctions by subscribing to our newsletter. In order to bid, you must first register with StoryLTD. After creating an account, view the auction that you would like to participate in and click on the “Get Bidding Access” link. You will be taken through the process and approved by a StoryLTD representative. Once approved, you will be authorised to bid in all StoryLTD auctions.
